Blue Steel Development Breaks Ground on Steel 70 Industrial Campus in Clayton, North Carolina.
CLAYTON, N.C. - February 10, 2026 - Blue Steel Development today announced the groundbreaking of Steel 70, a new
three-building industrial campus along the Clayton Boulevard corridor in Clayton, North Carolina. The approximately $50
million development will deliver 346,400 square feet of modern, market-ready industrial space designed to serve logistics,
warehousing, distribution, and light industrial users.
The groundbreaking marks a significant milestone for the project and for Clayton’s continued growth as a strategic industrial
and logistics location within the greater Triangle region. The event brought together project partners, local officials, and
community leaders to celebrate the start of construction.

Located along the US-70 Business corridor, Steel 70 is strategically positioned to provide access to major transportation routes
throughout the Triangle and the broader Southeast. The campus is designed to accommodate a range of industrial users and
will feature flexible floor plans, ample loading capacity, and specifications intended to support efficient logistics and modern
operations.
Construction on the initial phases is underway, with delivery targeted for 2026.

base. The development makes strategic use of existing infrastructure along the Clayton Boulevard corridor and reinforces
Clayton’s position as a competitive location for industrial and logistics employers.
